On 29 June 2018, the Establishing meeting of CEE4Health was held. The event happened in the capitol of Bulgaria – Sofia, while the city was hosting the Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The Establishing meeting gathered 17 experts from 10 countries from around Central and Eastern Europe. The main purpose of the event was to introduce the new experts into the work of the Think tank group which preceded CEE4Health but more importantly, to start the process of transition from informal group to officially established legal entity – organisation. The experts had to debate over the full specter of administrative and structural matters in the process of creation of such a new structure.

Consensus has been achieved on the following matters:

• Structure model;
• Membership model;
• Vision, mission and objectives of the organisation;
• Administration and legal representation;
• Election of First Steering Committee.
